The Holy Family Super Car Wash is a collective initiation of our Seminarians. Today, with the approval of the Fathers, the Holy Family Car Wash has been established, though still functioning at a small scale level.
The establishment of the Car Wash is aimed at further supporting the Institutes’ means of sustenance. We look forward for further expansions and growth in the near future.
Through the work of your hands you shall eat (Cf. Psalm 128:2). The Institute of Holy Family Fathers and Brothers of the Youth since her establishment in 2002, has continued to sustain herself through the three (3) primary means of sustenance, which comprises Prayer, assistance from good willed individuals and hard-work. As we continue to pray along with the church in and out of season, we continue to thank and appreciate God for the gift of our numerous well-wishers, benefactors, and friends who have contributed their hard-earned resources to keep this work of God moving.
We equally wish to enumerate the little we have been able to put in place through our collective hard work, not losing focus of that very all-important and fundamental aspect of our mission, which is for the proclamation of the Gospel and for the salvation of souls.
To this end, our establishments include the Holy Family Youth Football Academy, Small Scale Farm and Car-Wash.
The Holy Family Fathers and Brothers of the Youth has never relented in reaching the world through various means. This is made more manifest through her annual publication of a magazine officially called Limelight Magazine.
It is a veritable pen-Apostolate of our family (the Congregation) in reading and communicating to our country and to the world at large, the message of the Gospel. This magazine, though nascent, has been remarked by her audience both in Nigeria and beyond. It is our hope that through this means, the youth, parents, students and indeed all people will reap maximally from her produce.
Nonetheless, the congregation is embarking on her 5th edition of the magazine with the theme “ARISE O COMPATRIOTS”.
In other to foster the intellectual fecundity and academic progress already recorded among our Seminarians, and to make it more resound and beneficial for general consumption, our Congregation has introduced a kind of intellectual gathering and lectures.
On a monthly, basis among our students; where discussions and academic dialogues are made. It is a gathering that further cuts across Academic, Intellectual, Spiritual, Philosophical, Theological, Social, Political, Cultural and Anthropological spheres. A gathering that represents a clear sign of our unlimited hope in a holistic and integral formation of our Seminarians.
We are most grateful to our students’ Auxiliary, Rev. Okonkwo Cletus, who took up the First edition of the Lecture entitled: THE NEED FOR “COLLABORATIVE MINISTRY”
